How Ivins classes have run
The most recent Ivins class we found posted (Oct 2022 – Feb 2023) met at the Ivins Center Street Fire Station, 90 W Center St on Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 pm, with a Saturday final. It was free and capped at 20 students. Graduates received a backpack with gloves, goggles, vest and helmet. Youth ages 12–17 could attend with an adult. The city describes the class as about 2 hours a week for 8 weeks, with Zoom options. Sources: Washington County EM, Ivins Newsletter Sept 2025
Online option
The City links an Online Hybrid CERT course (HazReady), and describes CERT as a full 9-week course available online, with periodic hands-on training at little or no cost. Source: Ivins City Emergency Preparedness page You can take the lecture portion online at OnlineCERT.org. To earn a full completion certificate, you still need the hands-on practical portion with a local program. Let the local program know if you're taking it online.
